Marie-Louise van Overdijk-Reek started her career in the late seventies as a designer, stylist and coordinator for the Dutch Fashion Institute in Amsterdam. During that 10 year period she also presided for three years the ‘Intercolor’ Paris, an important color committee with delegates from some fifteen countries. She then started an international styling office, specializing in coloring, textiles and fashion design for men, women and children.

Collecting arts and antiques during her travels, she turned her "passion into profession". She opened her own company ‘M&L Interiors, Art and Antiques’ in a monumental convent in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Settling in Belgium in the nineties, she specialized in renovation, decoration and interior design. Some of her design projects were Château de Fonteneau (Nivelles, Belgium), Château St. Gerlach (Maastricht, Holland) and Château Crabbenburgh (Destelbergen, Belgium).

Marie-Louise herself is co-author of the book "Living in a Castle", published in 2003. Over the last decades several magazines reported on her international projects.
